PERLIS UNVEILS AMBITIOUS ECONOMIC VISION

Chief Minister of Perlis, Mohd Shukri Ramli, highlighted the state’s strong economic vision during the MIDA Invest Series – Perlis: Uncovering The Hidden Gem program yesterday.

He emphasized that although Perlis is Malaysia’s smallest state, it possesses a clear and determined strategy for economic growth.

The state government is fully committed to creating an investor-friendly environment that supports growth, innovation, and sustainability.

“Two high-impact projects, the Chuping Valley Industrial Area (CVIA) and the Perlis Inland Port (PIP), are set to become game changers for investment in the state.

“The CVIA is projected to serve as a strategic hub for industries in four main clusters: green manufacturing, halal industry, renewable energy, and energy-efficient automotive.

“The PIP, on the other hand, will complement the CVIA by reducing transportation costs for industrial materials,” he said.

Both projects are expected to boost Perlis’ competitiveness and attract both local and international investors.

He also pointed out Malaysia’s strong international ties, particularly as a member of the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT), which will further strengthen investor confidence.

He expressed confidence that these projects will lay the foundation for new businesses to establish operations in Perlis.

“Investors are invited to collaborate and contribute to build a prosperous future in Perlis.

“Businesses are encouraged to seize this opportunity to explore Perlis as a hidden gem for investments and economic growth.
